Alumna brings innovative period product initiative to La Châtaigneraie
Exciting things are happening thanks to one of our inspiring alumni! Noëlle Demole, Founder and CEO of Egidays, an new initiative designed to make menstrual care easier and more accessible in everyday spaces. The first prototype has now been installed on the campus of La Châtaigneraie, where it will be tested over the next six months as part of a pilot phase.
This milestone is an important step in Egidays’ mission to “make period products (tampons and pads) accessible, stigma-free, and normalised in public and educational spaces starting where education and values truly matter.” says Noëlle.
Founded in Switzerland “by menstruators for menstruators”, Egidays focuses on providing period-product dispensers with free organic tampons and pads for workplaces and schools. The idea behind the company is simple but powerful: period care should be as easy to access as other basic bathroom essentials.
As Egidays puts it, “At Egidays, we believe that period care should be as equally accessible as toilet paper, which is offered for free. So why not tampons and pads as well?”
Egidays allows organisations to offer organic cotton tampons and pads at no cost to employees, students, and visitors. One particularly exciting feature is its innovative anti-theft system, making it the first period-product dispenser on the market to include this kind of protection. This clever design helps ensure that products remain available for everyone who needs them.
It is always wonderful to see members of our alumni community turning thoughtful ideas into real-world impact. This initiative beautifully reflects the spirit of innovation, inclusion, and social responsibility that continues to grow within our community.
We are incredibly proud of the many ways our alumni carry these values into the world — and it is especially meaningful when they return to campus as partners in new and inspiring projects.
We look forward to following Egidays’ journey and learning from the results of this pilot in the months ahead.
A big thank you to everyone who helped bring this initiative to life at La Châtaigneraie!
