Learn more about me:
I built my life in Geneva with a long-lost middle school crush (Ana Maria). We lost contact for about 18 years and I poked her on Facebook for her birthday one day and ended up going out for dinner in New York. We’re now married with 2 kids.
I have also built, scaled and sold a restaurant business here in Geneva: The Hamburger Foundation. Exhausting, fun, stressful and fascinating 10 years. I’m now on the Geneva Tourisme Board trying to create great experiences for tourists visiting Geneva and Switzerland.
I was at Ecolint, La Grande Boissière, from 1st grade to 9th grade. Long enough to become a serious Road Runner addict.
I have many incredible memories: from the Kermesse, Boy Scouts, forbidden walks through the forest area, houses in middle School (I was Orion), and Valentine’s day (always a source of high stress and middle school gossip).
My main strength is adaptability to many types of social interactions and I deeply believe that the incredibly diverse cultures we have at Ecolint help strengthen skills such as empathy, respect and curiosity.
If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t have thrown that conker over the Marionniers wall in 1994. It landed bang on and through our French teachers’ windscreen (Mr. Boris : Christophe’s Lambert’s best mate: a fact he insisted on, in every class).
My words of wisdom for Ecolint students: trust your gut feeling. If something feels off, back out. If something feels right, go for it, even if you have to bend a few rules.
I would like to leave a better place for our kids. We’re not doing very well but I’ve still got a few years left in me to keep on trying.
I’m building a couple of businesses which are linked to the digitalisation of our world. The tokenisation of assets and people is going to be the next big internet leap and I hope we can help guide it.
