Find out more about me:

After graduating from Ecolint, I moved to Montreal to attend McGill University. From there, I travelled the world with Procter & Gamble and co-founded a coffee startup in London. I also had the opportunity to work at Amazon during a period of explosive growth.

Now, I'm back in Switzerland doing something I'm truly passionate about: working in the field of longevity and health. We’re a startup based at EPFL University using cutting-edge science and biology to help people live longer and improve their quality of life as they age. Best job I’ve ever had, and it’s great to be back in the country I call home!

So many fond memories, but how can I beat this one: meeting my best friend and now wife and mother of my two children. It is largely thanks to her that I passed IB English! Ecolint provided us with a unique and diverse community that fostered deep connections and lifelong friendships. The school's commitment to internationalism and global citizenship has shaped our values and influenced our family's life adventure in many ways.

Ecolint provided me with many advantages after graduation – including saving my parents a year of tuition fees at McGill University! But in all seriousness, the school is one of the best training grounds in the world to prepare you for a global, fast-changing, unpredictable world. It gave me the languages, diversity, and intellectual curiosity that have been invaluable throughout my career. And the friendships I made at Ecolint have lasted a lifetime and span the globe. I'm proud to be an Ecolint alumnus and grateful for the impact the school has had on my life.

Don't rush through life: Avoid the obsession with the next milestone

Well, if I had to do it all over again, there's one thing I would have done differently – I would have asked my future wife out sooner! But in all seriousness, if I could go back in time, I would have rushed less and enjoyed the present moment more. It's easy to get caught up in striving for the next milestone, whether it's getting into a top university, landing your first job or earning a promotion. But what truly matters in life are the relationships we build, the things we do that are meaningful and fulfilling, and the ways in which we give back to our communities. I've learned that success isn't just about achieving our goals – it's about enjoying the journey along the way.

My words of wisdom for Ecolint students: protect your energy: Surround yourself with positivity and limit exposure to negativity.

The scientific evidence is compelling. Studies have shown that positive emotions can lead to better physical health, improved cognitive function, and greater resilience in the face of stress. Energy is the foundation of a healthy and meaningful life and a rewarding career. Focus your time and energy on things that give you more energy. Don’t waste your time on people who drain your energy.

What legacy do you want to leave? I'll be honest – I'm still figuring out what I want my legacy to be, and that's okay. Society puts a lot of pressure on us to know exactly what we want to do with our lives and what mark we want to leave on the world. But the truth is, I don't think it's always that simple. I knew I wanted to study economics at the age of 10, but as I've gotten older, I've realized that life is full of surprises and opportunities that we can't always predict. So while I'm committed to making a positive impact on the world, whether it's through my work or other pursuits, I'm also okay with not having it all figured out just yet. And maybe, just maybe, that's the real legacy I want to leave – the idea that it's okay to be a work in progress, to embrace uncertainty, and to see where life takes you.
