Learn more about me :

Today we are living in Morgins Switzerland. I spent almost 20 years working with Michael Knight in the Audiovisual Department. Once again, Ecolint allowed me to follow sports at a high level with flexible hours at work. I rowed for both Switzerland and Great Britain. After a wonderful work partnership, Michael Knight retired and I retired from high-level rowing. I then went to Hamburg for 12 years to join my husband Michael and to coach rowing.

My favourite Ecolint memory relates also to sports. I loved and love sports. The sport department gave me huge opportunities to excel in sports both in competing against other schools and also in opening doors to get involved at a higher level in clubs in Geneva. My favourite memory is winning the basketball trophy against the “Swiss International Schools.” As we played as “Team Ecolint” in the Geneva Junior Basketball League, our opponent, the “ Swiss International Schools” had no chance!

After graduation, Ecolint helped me in many ways. Due to the high quality of teaching and the hard work of doing what I needed to do to get the International Baccalaureate, I found that I was well prepared for University. Ecolint made me open to all people and no doubt tolerant of different ideas, trying to be fair to all (particularly when coaching rowing). Open to discussion, rather than following blindly the “rules.”

I would do nothing differently if I had to do it all over again.

The “words of wisdom” I want to leave for Ecolint students is that you have a wonderful opportunity at Ecolint, work hard and it will set you up in a good position for your future studies. Try to get involved in some of the local Geneva clubs, and events, so that you also integrate into the local community.
