I now live in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and have been here since 2013 - I guess you can call me an honorary 'Geordie' now! I'm a Data & Analytics Manager at Procter & Gamble. I work with some amazing people and cool technology! You might find me glued to my laptop trying to debug code, working on some data architecture work, or helping people solve problems on a usual workday. I am also a mentor and public speaker. I'm passionate about empowering people to live their best lives through mentoring and my talks. I've given lectures and masterclasses at universities and I'm looking forward to empowering more young people and women to get into tech.

I have had a lot of wonderful memories at Ecolint. Planning and hosting the Diwali school assembly is my favorite memory. I was leading the Intercultural Society Club - I think that's what it was called then. Along with some friends, we were able to host an assembly that was informative and fun. I remember dressing in traditional South Asian clothes and watching the Bhangra dance from volunteer students.

My experience at Ecolint has been invaluable. It's taught me to be resilient in pursuing my goals, to be open-minded in viewing the world from different perspectives and it's helped me to better understand myself as a person. This has been helpful to me as a professional but also as a human trying to have a positive impact on others.

If I had it to do all over again, I would not change a thing. All my choices and experiences have made me who I am today. That person has also made a positive impact on her mentees and audience. I'm thankful for that.

My words of wisdom for Ecolint students: comparison is a thief of joy. We tend to compare ourselves to others - whether this is in school, university, work or personal lives. Remember that your value and journey are unique. Instead of looking sideways to see where others are, look ahead to where you want to be and take steps towards your own goals and dreams.

My aspiration is to leave a legacy of empowerment and transformation. I envision a future where the paths I've helped pave inspire a new generation of diverse leaders in various industries. I want to be remembered as someone who not only broke barriers herself but also reached back to guide and uplift others.
