I launched my own startup in Switzerland. The company is Abilect and we are a digital marketplace that connects service professionals to customers (private and professional). Within the space of a year from our launch, we are proud to say that we are exclusive strategic partners with Migros and SALT Telecommunications. I am currently working in Switzerland to continue to develop and grow the company with the vision to take it internationally to 10 or 12 countries in Europe.

My favourite memory from Ecolint is being co-editor-in-chief of EtCetera, the student newspaper for all three Ecolint campuses. Thanks to the support from the faculty, my team and I had the opportunity to interview many interesting people, attend interesting conferences and in general write about a variety of topics and subjects that we were able to explore through our education as well as the other opportunities we received by attending Ecolint. My first interview was with a British journalist who was held captive by Hezbollah. It was one of the most unique experiences I had at Ecolint.

One thing my experience at Ecolint taught me was to always be curious and to never be afraid to try something new. I had several opportunities to have a variety of experiences during my time at Ecolint from EtCetera to the Student's League of Nations and Global Issues Network (GIN), among others. It was this inclination to learn and discover that helped me grow and develop my knowledge and skills at university and then later on to manage and grow a business. I have never been one to want a “do-over”, but if I had the opportunity perhaps one thing I would do differently is to try and learn as much as possible, but also to really concentrate and develop my skills in areas that I really enjoyed and developed a passion for.

My words of wisdom for Ecolint students: it is important to try and discover as much as possible from the diversity of knowledge that is provided to Ecolint students. Don't limit yourself to what you feel comfortable with, and try to learn something new every day. It’s the best way to figure out what you really enjoy and are passionate about and what you would like to dedicate yourself to later on in life.
